Ingredients
- 14 oz firm tofu
- 1 cup mushrooms
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 2 slices ginger
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup vegetable stock
- 1 tsp cornstarch slurry
Method
- Pat tofu dry and pan-sear until golden.
- Stir-fry ginger, garlic, and mushrooms.
- Add soy sauces, sugar, and stock.
- Return tofu and simmer 8–10 minutes.
- Thicken lightly with cornstarch slurry.
- Finish with scallions if desired.
